A 15-year-old footballer has become one of the youngest to play in the Premier League — but it was a detail on his shirt that raised questions.
Jeremy Monga was substituted on for Leicester City in their 3-0 loss to Newcastle United and played 16 minutes of the game.

But Monga’s jersey was notably different from that of his Leicester teammates due to restrictions on gambling advertising in the United Kingdom.

What happened with Jeremy Monga?

An online cryptocurrency gaming platform sponsors Leicester, and the company’s logo is featured on the front of their shirts.
But the Gambling Act 2005, which underwent a review in 2020, prohibits players under 18 from wearing kits displaying gambling sponsors.
Monga, an England U16 international, made his senior debut at 15 years and 271 days old.
