US President Donald Trump has chillingly warned that Ukraine “may not survive”, as he applies even more pressure on Volodymyr Zelensky. Fox News asked him if his administration “walked away” and Kyiv fell whether he would be “comfortable with that”. Mr Trump dimissively said: “Well, you know, it may not survive anyway, but you know, we have some weaknesses with Russia“. This comes ahead of crunch talks between the US, Ukraine, and Russia in Saudia Arabia tomorrow.

Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, will be alongside national security adviser Mike Waltz and Donald Trump‘s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, at the negotiating table. Ukraine will be represented by Andriy Yermak, Mr Zelensky’s chief of staff. President Zelensky will travel to Saudi Arabia, too. He wrote on X: “On our side, we are fully committed to constructive dialogue, and we hope to discuss and agree on the necessary decisions and steps. “Realistic proposals are on the table. The key is to move quickly and effectively.”
