DETROIT (TCN) — A 68-year-old man allegedly killed his 67-year-old wife, turned himself in, and said she was a demon posing as his wife.
On May 4, at around 4:31 a.m., the Detroit Police Department responded to a home on Conley Street in reference to a possible stabbing. Officers found Kathryn Morgan unresponsive in the living room with stab wounds to her back and head. Medics pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Authorities allege that the victim’s husband, Timothy Morgan, stabbed his wife multiple times with a plastic sword and then hit her in the head with a pair of pliers, killing her. He turned himself into police shortly after the incident.
According to WJBK-TV, an assistant prosecutor said the details of the case were “one of the worst” she’s ever seen and that the crime scene looked like it was “from a horror movie.” There was reportedly blood splatter throughout the home.
In a police report obtained by WJBK, officials said Morgan told them he “killed the demon pretending to be my wife, and I’m turning myself in.”
The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Morgan has been charged with first-degree murder. He was arraigned on May 6 and remanded to jail.
